In the palm of my hand

Busy Man

The Invisible Gem

The Quirky Chick

When I look into your eyes

I shall call you the moon

His Eyes

because there are robins

I pray

Obscene silly

What I think of as my favorites changes daily. These are the ten I am liking most today.

Walking the path

I chose this path
little knowing what I would find.
perhaps that is best,
when choosing a path
to have it thusly.
one must have optimism
and hope of a better tomorrow.
I chose this path,
not for it’s beauty
for in truth it is not always so.
not for it’s ease of travel,
for there are many things
that block my path,
some of them even have [...]

Ok, no more messing about this is the one. I like the clean lines and size of the fonts. I can do header’s when I want and I have the ability to add things to the sidebars should I so choose..yup thats the one. What do you think folks?

Baby dance

Tip Tip Tap
Tip Tip Tap
Rickety, Rickety, Ping
Turn and dance
play and sing.
Scuttle, Scuttle, quiver
Patta, patta, roar
Turn and walk
and dance the floor
Flutter, flutter, ripple
puddle, puddle, drip
turn and sway
curve and dip
dance the dance of babies
who care not at all who sees them
let the music move your heart
remma, remma, rem.

When I was a little girl

When I was a little girl

You taught me to stand tall and straight

Placed a book on my head and told me
“Learn to walk proud and dignified”
You taught me that arguing about getting a shot
only ends with a naked bottom
and very cold hands
no lollipop for you,
You taught me that with enough yarn
you can comforter people
right into [...]

Star sister

Star sister, I am not sure you are aware,
but there is stardust in your hair.
It is glimmering and twinkling,
quite without your knowledge.
It is making people stare
that stardust in your hair.
it is hinting at another you
that keeps on, keeps on, peeping through
it makes the sad within your heart
seem temporary at best
for there it is that [...]

This day

This long day is over,
we cannot begin to appreciate the gifts of it.
We will at the end of night recall:
The look of the sky
The small baby sigh
The hand that took ours
The fistful of flowers
The hug that said love
The signs from above
all messages to say
This is it, this is the day.
This is the day
the tears that [...]

Charity begins in the heart, and I want to give with my heart to charity.
I have a strange, crazy, and very hopeful idea. As you all know I write quite a lot of sappy, happy poetry. I also have a soft spot for people, most especially children. I want more than anything to know how I [...]

Ava Reeves

I wrote this poem in hopes that it would bring peace to a hurting heart. I never got the chance to give it personally, of course. I hope that somehow in the cosmos there is a way to convey this single thought on his behalf. I wrote it in first person, so should he read [...]

My Shay

My Shay,
I have a friend who knows me
in ways I cannot explain
she sees the chaf within the wheat
the tear in the perfect cloth
the crack in the crystal vase
I would think these flaws would turn her
cause her to mock my soul
would cause a sneer in distaste
my soiled spirit
Instead she finely plucks the chaf
and sews the tear with tiny stitches
and [...]
