Ouch..

My heart is sore
from too much thinking
I need time to let it go
these thoughts that circle
feel sometimes
like angry pecks
from hungry birds
fearful, I strike out
and wound
they are just birds
but their pecking hurts
and I am bitterly tired

Fate gave him a load that was heavy
