Believe for a moment

Believe For A Moment

Believe for a moment
that you are all alone
the clock ticks
like a listless tongue
with nowhere to stop
and nothing to say

you sit in the corner
the farthest spot
from the center of the room
your back pressed
into the comforting arms
of two walls
decieving in their silence

your eyes drift
thinking wild thoughts
things you could be
places you could become
order meaning nothing
nothing at all
you’re all alone
in the world
and the clock ticks
